Review : Arriving in North Wales and The Old Mill Farm House

Excited about our hectic, full on adventure weekend we head off to review The Old Mill Farm House in North Wales.

Our journey to North Wales was a very pleasant 4 hours from home. We were heading to our first adventure at Trawsfynydd Lake Centre, but first I would like to tell you about where we stayed.

Our accommodation was a very pretty B&B called the The Old Mill Farm House, run by Margaret and Penny.  We received an exceptionally warm welcome.  We had been given a family room, that would have slept 5 but there was only 4 of us.

The B&B is what I think s traditionally Welsh, Margaret dressed in Welsh National Costume every morning to serve breakfast, in a bright and friendly dining room.  The freshly cooked breakfast was very welcome, especially with all our adventures planned, we needed a hearty breakfast to get us through the day.

The B&B was warm, clean and comfortable and we certainly slept well.

On our last morning the ladies kindly let us see the model railway running.  What an awesome model railway it was.  The children absolutely loved it, and we spent a while with the other guests watching the trains whizzing around the tracks.

The Old Mill Farm House is the perfect base for anyone thinking of having a break in North Wales, located very close to all the main activities, we didn’t have to travel very far on any of the days to the places we visited.
